A Day in the Life of Medical Student

ACMC Medical Students on KWLM Open MicMost people will never know what it’s like to be a medical student: the long hours of studying, learning from fellow students and doctors and the rewarding time spent on different rotations. But we’re giving you a peek at life as a medical student.

Every year ACMC hosts a variety of students who spend time in our clinics with our doctors, mid-level providers and their patients as a part of their medical experience.

ACMC third-year medical students Allison Homstad, Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Libby Feist, Univeristy of Minnesota Medical School, took to the airwaves on KWLM Open Mic. Allison and Libby talk about their experiences at ACMC from work with their preceptors to what a typical day as a medical student is like.

Do you know a deserving medical student? The ACHF Medical Student Scholarship was established in 2004 to assist medical students with tuition. The goal of this scholarship is to encourage medical students to practice in rural Minnesota communities after completion of their medical degree. Learn more about this scholarship here.
